Our study found that over 9 million tonnes of textile waste is sent to landfill each year in the EU.

Even though great strides are being made towards reuse and recycling, there still remains a vast quantity of low value textiles that do not yet have a further use at the end of their first life. The RESYNTEX project aims to find a valuable use for these otherwise waste textiles, through an innovative chemical recycling technologies for blended fibres.

For a summary of our report on the RESYNTEX project, see the news article on the Oakdene Hollins website.
